Refuse to ride with a drinking driver. if you find yourself in a situation where a driver has been drinking, tell your friend that he/she shouldn't drive. You could offer to drive your friend home. if you don't have a license, get another friend who hasn't been drinking to drive him or her. if you absolutely can't stop your friend, refuse to be a passenger. It's your life that's on the line.
Find alternative transportation. catch a ride with a non-drinking friend. Call a taxi or a relative to provide a ride home. Catch a bus. Call a free ride service if there is one in your town.
